We love what we do, and we can’t wait to show you!

Meet Our Founder
Rusty Becker

Our practice started in 2006 when our founder, Rusty Becker, found her calling in pediatric occupational therapy

For over 21 years, Rusty has served our community through her unique, collaborative treatment approach that has made a positive impact on families and helped countless children.

Our Mission

Our mission at Excel Pediatric Therapy Services is to leave a lifelong impact on each child and family we serve. We achieve this every day through our commitment to work as a team, hold each other accountable, seek growth opportunities, and strive for excellence and intentionality in all our interactions.

Schedule a Tour of Our Clinic

Our clinic is designed to mimic the natural environment your child will experience outside of therapy. This allows children to challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment as they build skills that will carry over into their daily lives. Give us a call to schedule a tour of our clinic and see for yourself what makes our approach one of a kind!

Our Vision

At Excel Pediatric Therapy Services, our vision is to change the face of pediatric therapy, starting here at the roots and reaching out with wide branches in order to have an impact first in our community (on the children and families that we serve and the therapists we work with), and then reaching out across the nation and the globe.

It Starts with Relationships.

At Excel, our therapists strive to be your child’s trusted friend and playmate. Our therapeutic relationships allow your child to experience total acceptance, love, and safety, which will lead to increased independence, self-confidence, and a sense of empowerment that they can take with them into everyday life.

Next Comes the Environment.

Our clinic is intentionally designed to offer opportunities that simulate a natural environment. This allows the child to take risks and try new/unfamiliar tasks, movements, and skills while ensuring their safety, both physically and emotionally. Examples include but are not limited to playing on a playground safely while appropriately interacting with peers, working with their teachers in a classroom, and taking care of a beloved pet. Through this environment and guidance, children can feel confident and independent as they carry these skills over into their daily lives.

Finally, It’s Time to Play!

Our play based, child-led approach is the final component to changing the face of pediatric therapy. Therapy sessions at Excel are not sedentary or static, and although we do provide direct one on one therapy services, our sessions are rarely conducted in a private room while the therapist dictates the sessions. Here, the child has a choice, is an active participant, is motivated by their innate desire to play, move, and have fun! This allows for the opportunity to serve the child’s sensory needs, increasing their ability to have a regulated nervous system, optimized to engage with others and learn. Not only does this create a more positive experience for the children, families, and therapists, but it also improves therapeutic outcomes.
